Our house is decorated; our tree is up; our presents are wrapped; our outfits are picked out; we are READY for Christmas:)
I'll tell you what we're NOT ready for...January 10th...School.
I've had a list of things that I wanted to do SINCE THE WEDDING that I just haven't gotten to because school is so demanding and overwhelming. Well, I've taken full advantage of these last couple of weeks off, and I've actually checked off a lot of things on my list. However, there are still a bunch of things I want to do before we go back...
10 TO DOs Before The 10th:
1. Finish this little snowman ornament that I have been working on for...oh 2 months.
2. Make Christmas cookies.
3. Order pictures from Great Expectations.
4. Get Remi fixed (poor baby!).
5. Finish my Engagement Photo Album.
6. Rearrange my house and post pictures of it here!
7. Organize my Christmas decorations and put them in storage.
8. Complete the homework assignment that I've ALREADY been assigned.
9. Start and POSSIBLY finish our 1st Christmas Scrapbook.
10. Enjoy an entire night of movies with my hubby!
It may seem a little stupid, but if I finish this list before the 10th...I will be one happy HAPPY girl! I'm lucky to be surrounded by such a great fan base...my family and friends are such great supporters of Brian and me, and I don't know how I would get through this 1st Christmas without them.
It's a given that this Christmas will be a little different than the past...
For the first time in 21 years, I will not wake up to my parents' grinning faces and the camcorder shoved into my eyes on Christmas morning.
For the first time in 21 years, I will not be able to go to my grandpa's Christmas due to other Christmas conflicts.
For the first time in 21 years, I will wake up on Christmas morning with a man!!!! ahhh!!!
For the first time in 21 years, I will go to Mama Pat's Christmas, and my dear Uncle Bobby won't be there to greet me.
For the first time in 21 years, I will be cooking for Mama Pat's Christmas because she's a little under the weather.
For the first time in 21 years, I will be given a "joint gift" with someone other than Morgan.
For the first and last time in 21 years, I will enjoy my FIRST Christmas with my husband, whom I love more than life.
As different as this Christmas may be...I am thrilled to spend time with my family and friends. What better way to spread love and cheer throughout the world than on Christmas day? I love you mom, dad, Morgan, Sarah, Marilyn, Benny, Mama Pat, Grandpa, Papa, all my aunts and uncles, cousins and cousins. I love you all! And though this Christmas may bring a tear and a smile, may we all have a blessed day full of the reason for the season.
From our family to yours,
